BevMo 5cent Wine Sale Haul

We finally made it to the BevMo 5cent Wine Sale! Believe it or not this is only my second Wine Sale as I wasn’t too familiar with the excitement surrounding the sale, but a couple of my girlfriends were kind enough to educate me. We took a lunchtime field trip to the San Ramon store and then that weekend I just happened to “need” to go to the Pleasanton and Livermore locations. This time around Rob and I (just) went to the Livermore location last weekend and came out with a case. Livermore is a little smaller than the Pleasanton and San Ramon stores so you have to go down the aisles looking for the red tag indicating 5cent sale as opposed to a large floor display right when you walk in, but the employees are extremely helpful and happy to make recommendations.

If you follow us on Twitter -@WineTasteBliss – you will see that we have already opened one of our purchases. Both bottles of the 2010 Heliotrope Pinot Noir are gone and were smooth and easy to drink (remember, I’m a new red wine drinker). We wanted a Pinot Noir and I selected it based on how clean and simple the label was.

We still have ten bottles (2 of each of the pictured above) left to drink. It’s so difficult when you have wineries in your backyard! I’ll keep you updated on my opinion on each of them and hopefully some more indepth opinions from Rob.
1. Lineas Cava — I always need bubbles
2. Marianna Red Wine
3. Gnarly Head Merlot
4. Line 39 Cabernet Sauvignon
5. Tapiz Malbec — recommended by a helpful and friendly BevMo employee
Hurry over to your local Beverages & More for your own wine haul because word on the street is that the sale ends on or around April 5th.
Cheers to having plenty of wine on hand and to this gorgeous weather!
