Twitter and other social media sites have latched on to alliterations for each day of the week. There is Makeover Monday, Taco Tuesday, Wine Wednesday, Follow Friday and most recently Toast Tuesday. Now, here’s an idea. Tuesday is already quite busy with Tacos, how about we (we as in us here at WTB) move the toasting to Thursday since it’s available and is more suitable for Friday Eve. WTB Toast Thursday will be devoted to all things we love and want to raise a glass to. You can log on one week and read about Rob’s favorite restaurant of the week and then the following week read all about my opinion on the new Livermore Paragon Outlets (that are opening on November 8th!) The idea is to expand your horizons past wine and to get to know us a little bit more. Feel free to comment if you have questions or suggestions of things you would like us to toast.
For our first Toast Thursday I would like everyone to raise a glass to two important black and orange things….Halloween and the San Francisco Giants making it to the World Series!
I am still undecided on my costume for work, but know it will be something consisting of yoga pants and my TOMS since I can get away with it. Perhaps I can throw on a pair of cat ears and my hydration pack and be a mountain lion. (get it? hydration pack for hiking and cat ears??) Drink another glass of wine and you’ll find this clever and then head on over to the Real Simple website for some last minute costume ideas.
Don’t forget to stock up on (good) candy, turn on your porch light, open a nice bottle of wine, order your pizza early on the 31st since Halloween ranks in the top 5 of pizza delivery sales and enjoy the Halloween spirit!
