Holidays in the Vineyards 2017

With the holidays rushing toward us at light speed, it is great to find some respite while helping those less fortunate. Livermore’s Holidays in the Vineyards is one of our favorite Christmas traditions.

The Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association coordinated this event, which included over 30 wineries this year. Participating wineries made the weekend special, with festive holiday decorations, live music, food pairings, arts and crafts, and special wine deals. Plus, attendees were encouraged to contribute a new, unwrapped toy for the annual Toys for Tots drive.

In a pleasant break with recent history, the Holidays weekend brought amazing weather. The kind of weather that you feel obligated to send an outdoor selfie to relatives who live outside the area to casually rub it in. It was a great weekend to celebrate the best of Livermore’s wine scene. Here are a few highlights from our brief outing to some participating wineries:

About the Author: John grills a mean steak and is always in the market for another wine fridge. Believes that if a winery has more than 10 employees, it's probably too big. Buys wine faster than he drinks it, but who cares?
