It was a lovely day strolling Jack London Square, enjoying a bustling Farmers Market on this warm August Sunday. As we reached the end of the waterfront walking path we came upon one of the anchor tenants of the Square, Rosenblum Cellars. It had been several years since our last visit, so we went in to get reacquainted.

The Oakland wine scene is vibrant and growing. One recent addition that is getting a lot of attention is Oakland Crush. Fine wine in a fine setting, this is definitely a wine shop worth exploring.

Rosenblum Cellars is the Grand Dame of the Oakland Urban Wine Trail. With an amazing position on the bay at Jack London Square, it provided an amazing setting for our sunset wine tasting.

Jeff Cohn Cellars is one of the ten amazing tasting rooms along the Oakland Urban Wine Trail. Place just a block off of Jack London Square, the tasting room is a treat for the eyes as the wine is a treat for the palate.

Oakland, California, is undergoing yet another renaissance, with growth and revitalization visible throughout the city. The wine industry did not get left behind. There are now ten tasting rooms along what is called the “Oakland Urban Wine Trail.” Our first visit got off to a great start at Cerruti Cellars.
