Pinot on the River

Maya Angelou said “When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.” Rare is the charitable event that causes more cheerful giving than a wine tasting event. The recent Pinot on the River event raised both money and spirits.

We had been excited for weeks about this amazing fundraiser. This annual event raised money in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Sonoma County by bringing together 100 wineries from the surrounding area, all pouring their Pinot Noirs and more.

Our anticipation was so extreme that we arrived in Healdsburg well before the event opened. That gave us a chance to find a great parking space and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. At the stroke of 11:00, we made our way to the entrance to Healdsburg Plaza. We collected our wristbands and commemorative wine glasses and strode confidently into the dazzling array of wine tasting tables. Here are some of our memories from this amazing day:

 


About the Author: John grills a mean steak and is always in the market for another wine fridge. Believes that if a winery has more than 10 employees, it's probably too big. Buys wine faster than he drinks it, but who cares?
