We are very excited about the Taste of Calaveras wine event that is now just around the corner! On Saturday, April 16, more than 40 Calaveras County wineries come together to celebrate fine wine, great food and the arts.
Ironstone Vineyards will be the venue for this amazing event. Running from noon until 4:00, there will be gourmet food and live jazz (from the Bob Eisenmann Trio) to accompany the wine.
In addition to the special wine tasting from the local wineries, there will be a number of educational cooking and wine demonstrations by celebrity chefs and winemakers, along with local artists painting the event as they see it. Add in the silent auction (my guilty pleasure), and there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The event is a fund raiser, hosted by the Angels Camp Business Association. Association president, Candy Myers, was proud to announce, “Taste of Calaveras brings the absolute best of Calaveras County together for one afternoon of cultural and sensory bliss. It is truly a magical time to taste the finest that Calaveras has to offer and interact one-on-one with winemakers, chefs and artists while taking in the music and the breathtaking atmosphere of Ironstone Vineyards.”
It is all happening at Ironstone Vineyards, 1894 Six Mile Road, in Murphys. Tickets are still available online at www.tasteofcalaveras.com, by phone at (209) 736-1333 or emailing tasteofcalaveras@gmail.com. The cost is $40 in advance and $50 at the door and include an etched commemorative wine glass. The proceeds from this event fund the many community projects of the Angels Camp Business Association.
Hope to see you there!
