Spring is a great season for wine tasters! The warming weather puts new shoots on the grape vines, and the air is filled with the promise of a new vintage. Wine festivals are another exciting part of the season, including one of our favorites: the annual Taste of Calaveras food and wine event.
We loved the 10th annual Taste of Calaveras last year. In one afternoon we were able to see all of our favorite winemakers from the region as well as meet some wineries that did not yet exposure in a tasting room. The amazing food and live jazz rounded out a fantastic afternoon.
The Taste is a production of the Angels Camp Business Association and features the businesses and products of the Calaveras area. In addition to the best food and wine of the area, there will be an art show and silent auction. And the commemorative wine glass is a fun keepsake to add to your collection!
The event is April 22 this year, from noon until 4:00pm. Ironstone Vineyards once again hosts the Taste. Advanced purchase tickets are $50 and $55 at the door.
