It is Academy Awards time again. There’s a lot to like: the red carpet, the bizarre interviews on the way into the venue, the “interesting” clothing choices of the attendees. Oh, and there’s an award show, too, with skits, songs, awkward crowd takes, bumbled teleprompter moments, and award winners who won’t leave the stage. How can an evening of entertainment like this be improved? Watching the entire spectacle Wine Tasting Bliss style!
Jeff Cohn Cellars is one of the ten amazing tasting rooms along the Oakland Urban Wine Trail. Place just a block off of Jack London Square, the tasting room is a treat for the eyes as the wine is a treat for the palate.
Oakland, California, is undergoing yet another renaissance, with growth and revitalization visible throughout the city. The wine industry did not get left behind. There are now ten tasting rooms along what is called the “Oakland Urban Wine Trail.” Our first visit got off to a great start at Cerruti Cellars.

Valentine’s Day means showing your special someone how much you care. For some, that means flowers, or candy, or maybe a cute stuffed animal. Recently for us, Valentine’s Day means a funny card, a nice homemade dinner, and the highlight of the day: a wine club release party at Darcie Kent Vineyards.
