What a day! It was time to sip and learn, or learn and sip actually, as we toured and tasted at the amazing Schramsberg Vineyards.

As the vineyards start to show bits of green along their vines, our yearning for new winetasting experiences grows. What new wines are being poured in the tasting room? What have we missed? That was our motivation for our recent visit to the Omega Road Winery.

Springtime comes early to the Livermore Valley. Around Valentine’s Day the vines wake up and send their first tentative new shoots out into the sunlight. On just such a sunny day, we visited a Livermore landmark: Page Mill Winery.

Exploring new wineries never gets old! On this crisp spring day, we had the pleasure of discovering a hidden gem in Livermore: Enoteca Five.

After a lovely Valentine’s Day celebrating our love, we had the weekend to celebrate our other passion: wine! We chose to explore a new winery (for us) in Livermore, Rosa Fierro Cellars.

Valentine’s Day in wine country offers so many opportunities to show your sweetie how much you care. This year we celebrated the day with the Mello Cielo bus tour at Ruby Hill Vineyards!

While sipping on your favorite wine have you ever considered all of the work and expense that went into getting that wine into your glass? Here is a quick look at your wine’s journey:

The day had arrived! This year’s Uncorked: SF was upon us, so the waiting was over. It was a sunny, beautiful after a week of dreary, so we happily traveled to Fort Mason for a very special wine event!

Like most wine lovers, we tend to accumulate wine. We have bottles of wine everywhere! Living in California, though, means that we need to pamper our wine. As a result, we have a number of wine fridges scattered about. So when we had the opportunity to check out a Newair Premiere Line Fridge, we got very excited!

It was the depths of winter in Livermore and we were feeling sorry for ourselves. There were clouds in the sky and the temperature was barely breaking into the 60s. Then we remembered our friends and family back east, struggling through snowbanks and sub-zero temperatures. To salve our bruised emotions we decided to further celebrate our wise decision to move to California and do some wine tasting at Concannon Vineyard.

In just a few weeks a festival with fine wine and great food is returning to the incredible Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Its time to get excited about this year’s Uncorked: SF!
