Once in a while we discover a winery that is so “in tune” with our tastes that we can’t believe that we’re not related to the winemaker. When we were introduced to the Eckert Estate winery, we had just that experience. Michael and Vickie Eckert opened their winery back in 2001. Rumor has it that this was an attempt to get all those wine bottles out of the living room. Whatever the reason, we are extremely glad that the Eckerts are making and selling wine.
About the Author: John grills a mean steak and is always in the market for another wine fridge. Believes that if a winery has more than 10 employees, it's probably too big. Buys wine faster than he drinks it, but who cares?
