Wine clubs bring so much joy! The release parties, the special wine access, the tasting perks; there is a lot to like. But once in a great while the decision must be made: it may be time to break up with your wine club.
Dom Pérignon, the monk known as the father of champagne, was said to pronounce when he first tasted champagne, “Come quickly, I am tasting the stars!” After spending some time in the Champagne region of France this past May, we were excited to further extend our appreciation of champagne through a tasting at K&L Wines that focused exclusively on the product of the 2012 harvest. An amazing tasting ensued!
It was a lovely day strolling Jack London Square, enjoying a bustling Farmers Market on this warm August Sunday. As we reached the end of the waterfront walking path we came upon one of the anchor tenants of the Square, Rosenblum Cellars. It had been several years since our last visit, so we went in to get reacquainted.
