Paso Robles is home to a multitude of wonderful wineries! On a recent visit, we left the rolling hills for trendy Tin City to explore Field Recordings Wine.
The French wine industry can not seem to catch a break. First came the global Covid shutdown, which initially tamped down demand. Now unseasonably cold weather is threatening to ruin an entire season of wine.
Visiting long-established wineries is wonderful, and discovering new wineries is always a thrill. This tasting was a blend of the two as we visited the new Del Valle Winery.
Springtime in Livermore is host to a wide range of weather conditions. On this particular Saturday, the cool air from the bay was swooping through Livermore toward the central valley. That meant cloudless skies and moderate temperatures. It also meant random, gusty bursts of wind. We decided to take advantage of the lovely day and checked in with Omega Road Winery to catch up on their latest wines.
A beautiful spring day, perfect for some winetasting. We only had time for one winery, so we went with a favorite: Eagle Ridge Vineyard.
With Covid restrictions finally loosening, we excitedly restarted our “normal” life as expected: visiting some local wineries! Our first day out included a number of favorites, including a gem, Ruby Hill Winery.
As spring returned to Livermore, along with an improved Covid rules, we were thrilled to return to our favorite pastime: winetasting! With great excitement, we returned to Dante Robere Vineyards.
The world was finally coming out of a year-plus lockdown, so we did the natural thing: we went winetasting! On this glorious spring day, we started our Livermore tour at Las Positas Vineyards.
After a very difficult “shelter in place” for over a year, we were finally all protected by vaccines and experts in double masking. We now felt safe re-entering the world and restarting our lives. Of course, that meant one thing: wine tasting! So we all met at Dashe Cellars to celebrate health, family, and good times.
With the current lock-downs, we can’t visit our local wineries. What to do? Why learn about wineries thousands of miles away, of course! Here, we taste and learn about the Stintzi Winery in the Alsace.
