Although the Quest for Pairing Excellence is the kick-off event for Taste Our Terroir, it is by no means the only highlight. The rest of the extended weekend is chock-full of educational and entertaining events. One highlight capping off the weekend was the brunch at Retzlaff Vineyards. The wine tasting season of 2017 has begun! Nearly every weekend offers kickoff tastings at nearby wineries, many times adding food and live music to the already attractive new wine releases. This weekend was Fenestra’s Spring Fling. Here is a quick glimpse of their event!

Ever since I joined the Darcie Kent wine club, I’ve been darkening their door almost more than is socially acceptable. I like to toe the line between “hey, good to see you again,” and “this girl is REALLY back again?!” Thus far in 2017, I have been very successful in this goal. The Harvest Wine Celebration in Livermore is the area’s premier wine event of the year. The first day is chock full of bands, food trucks and craft vendors.
