Visiting long-established wineries is wonderful, and discovering new wineries is always a thrill. This tasting was a blend of the two as we visited the new Del Valle Winery.
Springtime in Livermore is host to a wide range of weather conditions. On this particular Saturday, the cool air from the bay was swooping through Livermore toward the central valley. That meant cloudless skies and moderate temperatures. It also meant random, gusty bursts of wind. We decided to take advantage of the lovely day and checked in with Omega Road Winery to catch up on their latest wines.
A beautiful spring day, perfect for some winetasting. We only had time for one winery, so we went with a favorite: Eagle Ridge Vineyard.
With Covid restrictions finally loosening, we excitedly restarted our “normal” life as expected: visiting some local wineries! Our first day out included a number of favorites, including a gem, Ruby Hill Winery.
As spring returned to Livermore, along with an improved Covid rules, we were thrilled to return to our favorite pastime: winetasting! With great excitement, we returned to Dante Robere Vineyards.
The world was finally coming out of a year-plus lockdown, so we did the natural thing: we went winetasting! On this glorious spring day, we started our Livermore tour at Las Positas Vineyards.
During these challenging times of sheltering in place, one bright spot is “Netflix and chill.” We recently got to raise our Netflix game even more with a Cabernet Sauvignon and popcorn pairing from Las Positas Vineyards!
We love getting to know the people who make the wine we taste! As we all stay safe in our homes and exercise social distancing, we spent some time learning a bit about the winemaker at Charles R Winery, Lisa Lee.
Our “socially distant” interview series with local winemakers seems to have struck a chord with many of you! This week we get to know more about Dante Robere Vineyards with a conversation with Bob Bossi.
As “sheltering in place” drags on, we like to think of happier times. Those memories include numerous visits to family-owned Omega Road Winery. So it only made sense to spend some time (electronically) with one of the owner/winemakers Alexandra Henkelman!
With the declaration of “Shelter at Home” keeping us all away from wineries and tasting rooms, we thought that the next best thing would be an interview with a local winemaker. So pour yourself a glass of Enoteca Five wine and join us as we get to know Michael Chalkley, owner and winemaker at Enoteca Five.
